Football (Record: 8-3)

For the Collierville Dragons Football Teams in the last game of the regular season, they came on top, beating Arlington High School 21-7. This game was also senior night, which having a win was a fantastic way to represent the last home game for these seniors. In that game, Aidan Glover threw 16 for 32 for 155 yards, Logan Davis had 16 carries for 64 yards, Noah Flaskamp had 6 receptions for 63 yards, and Joakim Dodson had 6 receptions for 56 yards.

Next, the Dragons played in their first playoff game of the season against Brentwood, which ended up being the last of the season where our Dragons lost 7-17. In that game, Aidan Glover threw 10 for 18 for 100 yards and 15 carries for 58 yards, and Austin Smith had 3 receptions for 52 yards. This was a great season for the Dragons where they showed that last year was not a fluke. Now the Dragons will prepare for next season. GO DRAGONS!!!

Wrestling

The Boys and Girls Wrestling teams had their first exhibition match at Bartlett on Nov 10th. It was a dual match, meaning the team with the most points won. The winner of each match is rewarded with 3 to 6 points, and Collierville had 11 wins and a team score of 52 over Bartlett (34). On the 12th Collierville took to Houston for a king of the match, single man tournament. Teams from across the Memphis area, and Mississippi attended the meet, and the matches lasted from around 9:00 in the morning to 3:00 in the afternoon. The tournament was split into beginner, novice and Advanced. The boys’ wrestling team won 57 out of their 87 matches, and the girls won 9 out of their 20 matches. Our dragon wrestlers have one more pre-season meet before their first season match on November 29th.
