Elijah Lussier is a senior basketball player sitting at the overwhelming height of 6’9. Yes, I know… he’s gigantic. Elijah is a center and power forward on Collierville High Men’s Varsity Basketball Team. Elijah has been playing basketball since 3rd grade so for ten years. He started playing basketball because he wanted to try something new, and he simply thought it would be fun. When on the court Elijah is motivated to play his hardest for his parents, coaches, and teammates. When asked about his favorite memory from basketball throughout all of his years, he said winning the district championship last season during his junior year.
If you’re wondering what Elijah does before games, I have some answers for you! On game days, Elijah likes to go home and get some beauty sleep. After his power nap, he goes to Chick-fil-A for his pregame meal. Specifically, Elijah orders a large 12-count nugget meal to fuel his body. Lastly, he likes to listen to music before his games. One song from his pregame playlist is Let’s Go by Key Glock.
Let’s take a step away from basketball and learn a little more about Lussier! At home, Elijah has three siblings and one dog named Eve. Besides basketball, he likes to work out and play video games. Graduation is slowly approaching, and college is the next stop. Elijah is planning to major in mechanical engineering. He is still undecided on a college as he is deciding based on his offers for basketball.
