Joe Jonas is, again, in the spotlight and not for the best reason. The singer-songwriter announced in a joint statement with his now ex-wife, Sophie Turner, that they would be ending their marriage. The couple stated, “After four wonderful years of marriage we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage. There are many speculative narratives as to why but, truly this is a united decision, and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children.”

Some people speculate that Turner was the root cause of their split. Some sources claim that Jonas saw his wife on their ring doorbell camera “saying and/or doing something that made him realize the marriage was over”. The source claims to be close and in touch with Jonas but nothing has been confirmed. 

Another source claims the couple had already been having problems. They state the couple was “facing significant issues for six months and have been struggling with conflicting preferences on how to spend their downtime”. Reportedly, Turner enjoys going out and partying while Jonas would rather stay at home, affirming “they have very different lifestyles.”

Additionally, due to the couple’s iron-clad prenup, it is thought that there could be another celebrity trial underway. The possibly of another celebrity marriage trial has everyone invested. Some wonder if it would become as big as the Depp vs Heard trial, which was a trending topic back in 2022 or even the current Kevin Costner divorce case. 

The pair share two daughters. Willa, who is age 3, and a 14-month-old whose name has not been released. A source close to the couple said that “the girls have been with Jonas this summer while Turner has been away filming”.  When the statement about Turner being a so-called “partier” came out, the internet was quick to bash Turner, calling her a bad mom and painting Jonas as a “hero dad making sacrifices”.  But fortunately, many came to Turner’s defense, asserting that Jonas’ team                      was trying to protect his image and destroy Turners. Just as the news came out about the divorce, Jonas was photographed taking his daughters out for breakfast. Many found it a bit odd that he just released news about his divorce and then decided to publicly spend a lot of time with his children. 

Jonas allegedly just addressed his divorce, stating “It’s been a crazy week”. During the Jonas Brothers’ latest concert, Jonas took a moment to speak about what had been happening. He stated “I just want to say, if you don’t hear it from these lips, don’t believe it. Okay?” He suggested that all the rumors going around were all fake and had not been confirmed by Jonas himself. Jonas then went on to say “Thank you, everyone, for the love and support to me and my family. I love you guys”. Jonas was not pictured wearing his wedding ring.
