Halloween is a widely celebrated holiday. Over 179 million Americans participate in the holiday. It is tradition to get into a costume with friends or family and knock from door to door using the magic words “trick or treat” and receiving a handful of candy. Some houses are overgenerous and give out full size candy bars and some small prizes other than candy. To make sure Halloween is celebrated in the most fun way possible there are several bucket list items that can’t be forgotten to enjoy most of the night.
Whether you are super into the spooky side or like the fun cute side of it there is something for everybody. First, On Halloween night there must be a movie playing. That could be Halloween Town, Hocus Pocus, or a horror film if that is what you are more into. Second, there must be the best Halloween snacks, treats, and drinks made. That could be making a witches’ “potion” drink, a grazing charcuterie board, or even spider Reese’s cookies. Third, Pumpkin carving is a must for the Halloween trick or treaters to see lit up that night. You find a template and carve out something cute or scary for guests and drivers to see as they come by your house. If carving is not your thing, painting pumpkins is always an option.
For the spookier side, there are several options for you. Visiting a haunted corn maze and having the terror is just what some people enjoy most on Halloween. There are also haunted hayrides and haunted houses that will give the same effect. Going to an escape room just may give you the fear you need to escape on Halloween. Dressing up in a scary costume and making a playlist of all the Halloween classics is something you may enjoy. Whether you like the spooky, haunted side or the cute, festive side there is a way to make Halloween this year the best one yet.
