This winter was an amazing season for our Dragons! We had a lot of success and made a ton of noise.

For Men’s Basketball, we suffered a heartbreaking 73-31 loss to Memphis Overton in the Sweet 16 of the TSSAA State Tournament. It ended one of the most prolific and successful postseasons in school history. Our Dragons won twenty-games for the fourth year in a row, and they were crowned champions of the district. Overall, they went 20-14. It was quite a successful season.

For Women’s Basketball, our Lady Dragons lost to the Bartlett Panthers 81-68 in the Region Semi-Finals. They went 16-16 for the whole season. The future is bright for this basketball team, with three prospective Division I players returning. The next season is looking to be even better than this one.

In Wrestling, Damen Pullen and Mercedes Standard both had an incredible season and run in the state tournament, both placing 2nd at the TSSAA state championships. Historically, we’ve always been a powerhouse in the state, it is amazing to see this streak continue.

For Competitive Cheer, in February, they went to Orlando, Florida, for Nationals where they competed in the Traditional, Game Day and World categories. They brought home 2nd in Game Day, 5th in the Nation and 2nd in Worlds.

For our Dance Team, they put together a strong showing at the UDA High School Nationals in Orlando, Florida. They had an impressive Top 10 performance in all three of their participating categories. The Dragons, who have a legacy of competing every year for a National Championship, brought home the bronze medal in Super Varsity Gameday. Along with all the success, they finished 9th in Large Varsity Pom and 6th in Large Varsity Hip Hop.
